The Arts & Crafts record label has added Toronto’s Constantines to its label roster following the band’s departure from Sub Pop. Producer Jeff McMurrich is recording a new record with them. Recently Arts & Crafts also adopted The Stills (formerly Vice Records) and UK band Los Campesinos. Incidentally it’s still unclear if Band of Horses (photo right) is
resigning with Sub Pop or headed to a new label. It appears Ron Laffitte, now at Red Light Management (Dave Matthews, Gomez, O.A.R.), has picked up their management duties. Previously mentioned, a video for “Is There A Ghost” was filmed in Williamsburg, Brooklyn two weeks ago on the corner of Olive and Devoe. Their new album “Cease to Begin” arrives October 9 trailed by a Late Show With David Letterman appearance October 18, Terminal 5 (new NYC venue on W. 56th St.) show on November 4, and Late Night With Conan O’Brien gig November 5.
