UK Songwriter Buzz, Brooklyn Band Signs To Wind Up

There was this unsigned Brooklyn band I featured in one of these A&R emailers almost a year ago in September ’06. Jive, Atlantic and some others bit but no pursuit occurred. A few weeks ago in late July ’07 they suggested Wind-Up was about to sign them.

One of my indie/unsigned faves is this UK songwriter. Soulful and moody with an obvious Nick Drake, Chris Martin, Iron & Wine lineage. And hey, it’s less dramatic than Paolo Nutini!
